Description

CD56+ Natural killer (NK) cells are cytotoxic effector lymphocytes of the innate immune system that play key role in rejection of tumor cells and microbial infections. Upon activation by signals including loss of MHC I, NK cells can directly lyse the target cells by releasing perforin and granzymes. NK cells can also enhance the immune response of other cell types by releasing cytokines such as IFNγ and TNFα. Our Human Normal Peripheral Blood CD56+ NK cells are isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells by either positive or negative immunomagnetic selection, depending upon your needs. All peripheral blood is collected in acid-citrate-dextrose formula A (ACDA) by leukaphresis from fully consented IRB approved donors that are tested negative for HIV, HBV, and HCV.
