Tocilizumab is a humanized IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody specific for the IL-6 receptor (IL-6R). Tocilizumab binding to IL-6R prevents it from binding to the cytokine IL-6, a mediator of inflammation and autoimmunity. This Tocilizumab biosimilar has the same amino acid sequence as Tocilizumab.
