Secukinumab is a humanized IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody specific for human IL-17A, present in psoriatic skin lesions and the synovial fluid of patients with psoriatic arthritis. IL-17A activates keratinocytes and the Th17 subset of helper T cells, maintaining the chronic inflammation seen in these patients. This Secukinumab biosimilar has the same amino acid sequence as Secukinumab.
