Description
Rovalpituzumab is a humanized IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody specific for human DLL3, an atypical Notch ligand implicated in the regulation of cell development. DLL3 is expressed in most patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other neuroendocrine tumors, but has little to no expression in normal tissues or non-neuroendocrine tumors. Rovalpituzumab is used in the antibody–drug conjugate Rova-T which, after binding to DLL3, is internalized in the tumor cell and initiates cell destruction. This Rovalpituzumab biosimilar has the same amino acid sequence as Rovalpituzumab.
