Description

Rituximab is a humanized IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody specific for human CD20, expressed by B cells. Rituximab binding to CD20 results in B cell elimination by antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). Rituximab is used for B cell lymphomas/leukemias, for autoimmune disorders and in transplantation.
