Polatuzumab is a humanized IgG1-kappa monoclonal antibody specific for human CD79b, expressed on B cells. CD79b is a key component of the B cell receptor complex and is overexpressed in several B cell malignancies, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Polatuzumab enables targeted delivery and therapeutic intervention against malignant B cells while minimizing effects on healthy tissues.
