Omalizumab Biosimilar, Human IgE mAb

Omalizumab is a humanized IgG1 antibody specific for IgE, an immunoglobulin that mediates allergic reactions. Omalizumab reduces a person's sensitivity to inhaled or ingested allergens and can be used for moderate-severe allergic asthma which does not respond to high doses of corticosteroids. Omalizumab binds to free IgE and IgE on the surface of B cells but not to IgE already bound to its high-affinity receptor on mast cells and basophils.
