Description
Ibalizumab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody specific for CD4, the primary receptor for HIV. Ibalizumab does not prevent HIV from binding to CD4 but does prevent HIV from binding to the CCR5 and CXCR4 co-receptors after CD4 binding, thereby blocking viral entry into the cell.
