Description

Daratumumab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody specific for human CD38, a protein expressed on plasma cells and other immune cells. CD38 is often expressed by myelomas, and Daratumumab is antagonistic against these cancers. In particular, Daratumumab binding to CD38 impairs the ability of the myeloma cell to adhere to other cells and to the extracellular matrix, resulting in proteasome inhibition and elimination by phagocytes. This Daratumumab biosimilar has the same amino acid sequence as Daratumumab.
